Võsu Weekend

On July 8-9, 2024, the Maya Initiative organized a trip to Võsu for children from the Tartu Kristlik Noortekodu (Tartu Christian Adolescents' Home). The children prepared food and went to the beach, where Marje Randvere taught them surfing and water sports. Gijs Schellings and Marko Korv then prepared a dinner featuring Middle Eastern chicken, roast potatoes, barbecued corn, and a mixed salad. In the evening, the children took a walk, played pool and board games, and listened to music at the house.

The next morning, they went for a swim, had breakfast, and took a detour to Käsmu on the way home to watch the Tall Ships Race. Some of the children became proficient in water sports, but all had a great time, behaved well, and enjoyed the food.
